6 Best Kenwood Electric Kettles in The UK of 2026

For us, the Kenwood ZJP30 Dusk Electric Kettle is a perfect mix of style and function. It makes any kitchen look better. It has a modern matte finish with shiny stripes in Slate Grey, Olive Green, Blue, and Twilight Purple.

We tried out the kettle for 2 weeks and we were very happy with its operation. It was impressive how quiet it could be. We also noticed this is great for early mornings or calm evenings. It helped us to heat water fast, boiling a 1.7-litre jug in just over 2 and a half minutes*. It’s also light and easy to pour, thanks to its ergonomic handle.

It has useful features like auto shut-off and a limescale filter. The wide spout makes pouring smooth, but pouring too hard can cause spills. The plastic is durable and easy to clean, despite feeling a bit light.

While it lacks advanced features like temperature control, it’s perfect for daily use. It’s priced around £40-£55, which is fair for its design, speed, and quietness.

It was only recently that we tried the Kenwood Dusk Electric Kettle and Toaster bundle in Slate Grey, and we must say that we are thoroughly convinced. The two appliances come with a stylish matte finish and an elegant ridged design that is a perfect fit for modern kitchens.

The kettle is excellent: It heats up rapidly, taking just about 4 minutes* for a full 1.7-litre jug, and the realization is that it’s profoundly quiet, you won’t even notice that it’s on. The handle is nice and the spout does not drip a drop out. It’s super easy to fill and clean, and the auto shut-off function is performed quickly and accurately.

The 4-slot toaster is likewise on the spot and will always present(uniform) evenly browned bread whatever the setting. The defrost and reheat functions work as expected always. The high-lift lever is a necessity for lower-sized items like crumpets, ensuring clean removals and no burns. Although the toasting machine warms up a little during work, the safety and stability are not compromised.

In general, both items are fantastic deals, being a perfect blend of high functionality, fantastic design, low noise, and easy handling. It is greatly recommended for everyone looking for reliable and elegant daily kitchen appliances.

We tested the Kenwood Dusk Collection kettle and toaster set in Twilight Purple. It’s a stunning addition to my kitchen. The design is eye-catching, with a calming matte purple finish and subtle rose-gold trims.

The kettle build is plastic but well-made, feeling sturdy despite its lightweight nature. The kettle’s 3000W element boils 1.7L of water in about 2 minutes 30 seconds*. It’s fast and impressively quiet.

The wide spout ensures a smooth, drip-free pour. The removable limescale filter is handy, especially in hard water areas. This electric kettle is easy to use, with a simple on/off switch that lights up when boiling.

The Kenwood toaster also delivers reliable results. It has a 4-slot design, divided into two independent sections. This allows you to toast two or four slices separately.

It handles everything from regular bread to crumpets with ease. The browning control works well, giving consistently even toast. The high-lift levers are a brilliant touch for safely retrieving smaller items.

Ease of use is excellent across the board. The kettle’s 360° swivel base makes it convenient for left and right-handed users. Its wide lid opening makes filling and cleaning a breeze.

The toaster’s illuminated controls and separate crumb trays simplify usage and maintenance. The plastic build feels durable, with no wobbly parts or performance issues.

Both devices come with a standard 1-year warranty. We’d suggest handling the kettle lid gently, as it’s not hinged but fully removable.

We recently tested the Kenwood Dusk Collection kettle and 4-slot toaster combo in Stone Blue. It’s a sleek addition to any kitchen. The design is modern and elegant, with a textured matte blue finish and glossy trims.

This plastic electric kettle has a 1.7L capacity and the toaster offers 4 slots with independent controls. This makes them practical for families or heavy use.

Performance:

The Kenwood kettle is a standout. Its 3000W power delivers a super-fast boil. It heats a full 1.7L in about 2.5 – 3 minutes*. We love how quiet it is; even when boiling a full load, it’s more peaceful than our previous electric kettles.

The pouring spout is perfect, providing a smooth, drip-free pour every time. The removable limescale filter is easy to clean, which is essential since we live in a hard water area.

The toaster is also impressive. Its dual controls allow us to toast 2 or 4 slices simultaneously, with separate browning levels for each side. The 5-level browning control works well, producing evenly toasted bread from light golden to deep brown.

It also has a bagel function, which toasts one side more than the other — perfect for bagels or buns. The high-lift lever is a fantastic feature, making it easy to retrieve small items like crumpets without burning my fingers. The toaster handles thick slices, pastries, and frozen bread with ease, thanks to the defrost and reheat functions.

Ease of Use & Build Quality:

Both appliances are incredibly easy to use. The kettle’s 360° swivel base makes it convenient for both right and left-handed use. The toaster’s illuminated controls and clear markings make adjustments a breeze.

While the plastic build feels lighter than stainless steel electric kettle and toaster models, it’s still sturdy and well-constructed. The removable lid on the kettle isn’t a dealbreaker, but we would have preferred a hinged lid for easier filling.

The Kenwood Turin SJM550 catches your eye with its shiny stainless steel finish. It looks great and fits well in most kitchens. When we held it, we noticed it was well-made, even if it was not as sturdy as some older electric kettles.

The 1.5-litre capacity is perfect for daily use. Its 3000W power boils water fast, which is a big plus. The flip-top lid makes filling easy, and the water level indicator is clear, even though it’s at the back.

The SureGrip handle feels secure in your hand. Pouring water is generally easy, especially when the kettle is full. The kettle comes with a removable mesh filter, which is great for keeping limescale out.

But, there are some downsides. The kettle is quite loud at the start of the boil. We also felt it makes strange noises as it cools down. The lid can sometimes be a bit sticky due to vapour, making it hard to open.

Some users have reviewed chrome peeling and lid problems over time. There have also been reports of water leaking from the base. Our test unit didn’t have these issues, but it’s good to know about them.

Overall, the Kenwood Turin SJM550 is stylish and functional. It boils water fast and looks good on your countertop. But, it can be noisy, and there are concerns about long-term durability. If you don’t mind the noise and are looking for a stylish kettle, it might be worth considering, especially if you find it at a good price.

The Kenwood ZJP05.C0DG Abbey Lux Water Kettle catches the eye with its dark grey body and rose gold accents. It adds a modern touch to any kitchen. Its lightweight design makes it easy to handle, even when full.

The kettle’s 3000W heating element boils water fast, in about 2 minutes* for a litre. This is perfect for busy mornings. The easy-view water window helps you boil just the right amount, saving energy and water.

The spout pours water accurately, but it needs a bit of adjustment when full. The flip-top lid opens easily with one hand. The 360° swivel base is great for both right and left-handed users. Cleaning the removable anti-scale filter is simple, keeping the kettle scale-free.

However, the kettle feels a bit plastic-y, which might not match its premium look. It’s not too quiet or too loud when boiling, but some might find it noticeable.

In summary, the Kenwood Abbey Lux kettle is a good mix of fast boiling and stylish design at a reasonable price. It’s perfect for those who want both style and speed. But, if you’re looking for something more durable and premium, you might want to look elsewhere.
